    Hello,

Love your podcast, I just found it a few days ago and have been binge listening ever since. I just listened to this episode and being an American there was some info I wanted to let you know about. In America, we don’t just use lethal injection we also use the electric chair, hanging, and firing squad. Different states use different methods but each one of these methods is still in use and some states don’t inform the public when there is a death sentence happening. Even getting whatever you want for your last meal is just a myth. Many states will only feed you the same meal the rest of the prisoners are having or put a price limit of varying amounts most being below $20. I believe the gas chamber is still used in some places as well. While many states still have the death penalty and inmates on death row they haven’t actually put anyone to death in years.

Thanks for the praise we appreciate it and filling in a few details on the death penalty in America. We don’t have the death penalty in Australia so it is a bit of foreign concept for us. Good to hear that it’s not used as much as it was.
